Security is infrastructure.
Vector Smart Chain operates under validator-based Proof-of-Stake consensus with transparent on-chain execution, deterministic block production, and publicly verifiable burn mechanics.
On-chain verifiability. Public audit trail.
Core design principles
Vector Smart Chain's security model is built on these foundational principles.
Validator-based PoS Consensus
Distributed validator set achieves consensus through Proof-of-Stake.
Deterministic Fee Model
Fixed USD-equivalent burn per transaction, no bidding wars.
On-Chain Verifiability
All state changes are publicly verifiable on the VSC Explorer.
Transparent Participation
Validator operations and staking activity are publicly observable.
Fair Fee Structure
No gas bidding or fee prioritization markets.
Deterministic Blocks
Block production follows consensus under validator participation.
How we approach security.
Four non-negotiable principles that govern how Vector Smart Chain is built, audited, and operated.
Validator-Secured Consensus
Vector Smart Chain uses a distributed validator set to achieve consensus. No single entity controls block production. Validator behavior is economically incentivized toward honest operation.
Transparency by Default
All transactions, contracts, and governance actions are publicly verifiable on the VSC Explorer. Security posture is not a claim — it's on-chain evidence.
Audit-First Development
Core contracts and bridge infrastructure are reviewed before deployment. Audit reports are published publicly. Known issues are disclosed — not hidden.
Incident Disclosure
Any security incident affecting users will be disclosed promptly via official channels. Post-incident reports are published with root cause analysis and remediation steps.
4 Active Validators Securing the Network
The network currently operates with 4 active validators participating in block production under Proof-of-Stake consensus. Validator participation is publicly observable via the VSC Dashboard and Explorer.
Validator Growth Strategy
Decentralization is a process. Validator expansion aligns with network maturity and operational readiness.
Validator expansion is phased to maintain network stability and operational observability during scaling.
Intentionally structured for performance consistency and coordinated incident response during the initial growth phase.
Validator expansion as network throughput and ecosystem participation reaches defined performance thresholds.
Open validator participation aligned with full ecosystem maturity, governance frameworks, and validator performance standards.
Cross-chain assets, securely.
The VSC Bridge is the highest-risk component in the ecosystem. We treat it accordingly.
Bridge operations include time-locked withdrawals, on-chain verification, and validator oversight to mitigate cross-chain execution risk.
Cross-chain operations are monitored and subject to validator oversight and emergency controls.
Validator-Backed Finality
Bridge transactions require validator confirmation before finality. Assets cannot be released on the destination chain until the source chain transaction is confirmed by the validator set.
Time-Locked Withdrawals
Large bridge withdrawals are subject to time-lock mechanisms. This provides a window to detect and respond to anomalous activity before funds are fully released.
On-Chain Verifiability
Every bridge deposit, lock, and release is recorded on-chain and verifiable via the VSC Explorer. The bridge maintains a complete, auditable history.
Emergency Pause
The bridge includes an emergency pause mechanism controllable by the validator set in response to detected anomalies. Pause triggers are logged on-chain with rationale.
Regular Security Reviews
Bridge smart contracts are reviewed on a scheduled cadence. Any changes to bridge logic go through mandatory review before deployment. Review reports are published.
Transparent Incident Response
If a bridge incident occurs, users will be notified through official Telegram and X channels within 1-2 hours. A full post-mortem will be published within 1-2 days.
Code reviewed before deployment.
Core protocol contracts and the VSC Bridge undergo third-party security reviews before deployment. Audit reports are made public. Findings and remediation status are disclosed.
Responsible disclosure.
All disclosures are handled confidentially. Researchers will be credited in public disclosures (if they choose). We do not take legal action against good-faith security researchers.
Transparency when it matters most.
If an incident affects user funds, validator operations, or ecosystem applications, we commit to the following response process:
What we don't guarantee
Clear boundaries help set appropriate expectations for network users and developers.
Transaction Profitability
The network does not guarantee profitable transaction execution.
Smart Contract Security
Developer responsibility to audit and secure their smart contracts.
Validator Decentralization
Validator participation is decentralized and publicly observable.
Cross-Chain Execution
Bridge operations involve inherent cross-chain execution risks.
Known risk categories
We acknowledge and monitor these threat vectors across the network and ecosystem.
Smart Contract Vulnerabilities
Logic flaws in protocol or ecosystem contracts could enable exploits.
Validator Coordination Risks
Coordinated validator actions could violate network assumptions.
Cross-Chain Execution Risks
Bridge operations carry inherent risks from external chain dependencies.
Governance Parameter Changes
Protocol modifications could have unintended economic or security impacts.
Deployment Misconfiguration
Operational setup errors could compromise system security.
Security is Observable and Verifiable.
Check contracts, bridge activity, and validator operations directly on the VSC Explorer. Don't trust — verify.
All core contracts are publicly verifiable.
